Fort Myers, FL – Dunbar High School proudly continues its legacy of excellence in technology education, historically producing a plethora of Microsoft champions. This year, three more students recently earned the prestigious title of Microsoft Office Specialist Florida State Champion. Building upon a remarkable Dunbar history of having now 35 Certiport® Microsoft Office Specialist Florida State Champions since its inaugural participation in 2011. Notably, Dunbar has had the rare distinction of producing 3 Microsoft World Champions and 7 Microsoft National Champions, as well.
Candace (Harley) Papol, Damon Rangel, and Jonathan Lara, representing Dunbar High School, achieved remarkable success by obtaining perfect scores on their respective exams – Microsoft Word 365, Microsoft PowerPoint 365, and Microsoft Excel 365. Their outstanding performance places them among the top scorers in Florida and qualifies them to compete at the 2024 Microsoft Office Specialist U.S. National Championship in Orlando, Florida, from June 17th to 19th, 2024.
The first-place winners in each category (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) at the U.S. National Championship will be awarded a $3,000 scholarship, along with a trophy, certificate, and an all-expenses-paid invitation to compete for top honors at the 2024 Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship in in Anaheim, California.
